When I was little I used to hate avocados, I think something about the green color put me off. It wasn’t long before I changed my mind though; it quickly became one of my favorite foods. Avocado makes absolutely any sandwich better and even by itself it’s just so smooth and rich.
One of my go to snacks is fresh guacamole with chips, especially when I fry the tortilla chips fresh. It’s so filling, so fresh, so delicious, so easy to scarf down at 2 a.m.
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 teaspoon Spike
- ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon celery salt
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- Halve the avocados, remove the pit and scoop out the meat into a bowl.
- Add the seasoning and mash until a smooth consistency, some lumps are fine.
- Add the sour cream and stir until combined.
Scoop up with chips, spread on a piece of toast, top off a burger or a burrito, this dip can go anywhere!
*Fun Fact: When she was 10-13ish, only 1 out of every 5 batches of sugar cookie dough would make it past the butter/sugar stage and end up in the oven instead of Brie’s stomach. #ThisIsWhyI’mFat
P.S. She also set the microwave on fire during the same era while making home-made microwavable popcorn. Pro tip: Alton Brown is WRONG and you cannot put a paper bag with staples into the microwave; things will go badly.
P.P.S Happy ending. Even though to put out the fire she threw a bowl of water onto it and shorted all the circuits, the microwave started working after a week and her mom was non-the-wiser.
P.P.P.S But, I guess not any longer…
